Activities

  • Community Classroom Adoption to provide tools for their education, lesson plans given in classrooms, PowerPoint lesson plans sent out to schools.
  • Support and honor the patriotism of veterans and active military by sending cards and packages, going to nursing homes, holding Christmas parties for veterans and family.
  • Support our first responders with meals and visits.
  • Flag Retirement Ceremonies and Replacement of worn-out flags locally.
  • Celebrate the history of Constitution Week by preparing and displaying U.S. Constitution Posters at seven schools and Ridgeland Library, ringing of the bells and proclamation signed by mayor.
  • Honor our DAR Good Citizen, DAR Youth Citizenship and JROTC students with a reception and awards.
